In the year 2015, at age 19, she debuted her first single, Here. The song was an instant hit and received praise from critics and listeners alike. The song reached the top spot on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the song one of the Top Songs of 2015. That same year, she debuted her album Know It All with the third track Scars to Your Beautiful being one of five original tracks which reached the top of Billboard charts. This includes The Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200 as well as the Billboard Hot 100. In her interview with Rap-Up fans discussed Cara's self-love journey and her doubts. Cara's tracks often contain positive messages regarding mental health, and the importance of being self-love. Everything stems from her personal experiences as she suffered from mental health problems and insomnia. According to Reuters interview, she's described her album as half-tumultuous and half-perfected. The growth of her career was helped by a therapy. She encourages others when they need to reach out for help. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto in Canada. Her birth date was July 11, 1996, to parents of Italian heritage. Her first guitar was purchased from her parents at the time she was 10 years old, which sparked the passion for music. In the age of 13, she started covering songs she adored on YouTube in order to show the public that she was a talented artist and brave enough to pursue a career as a musician. A cover of one of her songs, Sweater Weather, was the one that got her attention. EP Entertainment gave her an opportunity to develop and write her own songs.
