When she was 19, she released her debut single Here. The single was a smash and garnered praise from critics and listeners alike. It reached 19th place in both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named it one of the best songs of the year. The same year she launched her debut album Know It All, the song Scars to Your Beautiful ranked on the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. The track was also one of the original five songs. In her Rap-Up interview the listeners discussed Cara's self-love journey and her doubts. Cara's music often contains positive message about mental wellness and how important it is to love yourself. The music of Cara is directly from her battle with insomnia, mental illness and other issues. Reuters reported that she called the album "half turbulent, and half finished". Her growth was aided by a therapy. She also encourages her fellow singers, if needed, to reach out for assistance. Alessia Cara grew up in Toronto, Canada. She was born on July 11th, 1996 to parents with Italian heritage. She was given a guitar by her parents after she was 10, which ignited the passion for music. In the year 2003, she turned 13 years old, she started to sing her favorite tracks through YouTube. It proved to be a fantastic opportunity to show others the fact that she had ability and determination. One of the songs Sweater Weather ended up getting her attention by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to create and write the songs.
